Robin Gilbert, RN, MSN, CEN, CPEN, has over 25 years’ experience in emergency nursing. Many of her years in emergency nursing were spent in the pediatric emergency department at Boston Medical Center. She is both a certified pediatric emergency nurse and an emergency nurse. Robin has experience as an emergency department manager, manager of cardiac & pulmonary rehabilitation and, currently, as the regional manager for staff development at Central Maine Medical Center. She teaches the NCLEX review course for Kaplan and tutors online nursing students for a local college. Her experience includes being an item writer for Board Certification of Emergency Nursing, and as a former Chairperson. Robin was the coordinator for her employer’s “Pathway to Excellence” This was the 2012 designation.
In her role, Robin Is able to keep current with the best practices and trends in pediatric care. Robin received her BSN from Curry College, Massachusetts and her MSN from Saint Joseph’s College, Maine. Robin is an active member of the Emergency Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and a reviewer for the ANCC’s Pathway to Excellence program.

Rachel Cartwright-Vanzant, PhD(c), MS. RN. LHRM. LNCC. CCRN.-K, More than 28 years of experience in management, consulting, and clinical care. Rachel She is a certified legal nurse consultant (LNCC) as well as a licensed healthcare risk manger (LHRM). She also holds a forensic nurse certification (FNC). She is currently enrolled at Walden University’s Public Policy and Administration: Law and Policy PhD program. Rachel She is an innovative educator who is committed to nursing education. She is a member both of the National Speakers Association (NSA) and the Global Speakers Federation (GF). Rachel She is able to make complicated concepts understandable and clinically relevant, which adds considerable value to her presentations.
Rachel’s nursing experience includes work in critical care, renal transplant, dialysis and surgical areas. She has extensive experience in open.-heart surgery recovery (OHSR) and was responsible for developing and implementing a new cardiothoracic program’s first OHSR plan from the ground up. As a legal nursing consultant. Rachel Assists attorneys, law firms, and healthcare providers in reviewing and evaluating medical records to ensure compliance with standards of care, regulations, and regulations, as set out by accreditation agencies including The Joint Commission. She is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the South Florida AALNC Chapter. She is a published author and peer-reviewed journal editor and continues to speak nationally on healthcare-related topics.
