Mike Robertson – Bulletproof Knees & Back Seminar 2011
Coaches and trainers everywhere are missing an opportunity.
A chance to fill a genuine need and, in the process, achieve better results with clients and athletes they train.
And in the long run, they’re losing money as a result.
- Are you You Ready to be the go?-Find a trainer in your area to treat lower back and knee pain.
- Would you like an explanation of why someone is experiencing lower back or knee pains?
- Do you want to learn how to program for them effectively?
- Would you like to know how to coach them, to ensure you don’t make their symptoms worse?
The Bulletproof Knees Lower Back Seminar is the culmination and culmination of the 8 previous workshops.-10 years of my entire life. This seminar covers a lot of information in 13+ hours.
This product isn’t geared towards athletic trainers or physical therapists, although even they may take a few things away from this.
This product and this lecture were written for personal trainers or strength coaches like myself.
This is what I intended to do. You deal with everyday people, because I’ve got news for you – no one is 100% healthy!
I do hope so, and I KNOW that this product can help me get there.
First, let me tell how I started this journey and how I can help others.
After graduating from the Masters in Sports Biomechanics, it was time to critically assess myself. What was my strength and what was not. Then I ranked them according to a scale of 1 to 10.-10.
I hadn’t spent much time working with injured athletes, and I remember giving myself a 2 out of 10.
Quite simply, an exercise science Undergraduate degree and a Masters in biomechanics hadn’t prepared to work with people who were in pain or suffering from injuries.
I had just accepted my first complete.-time job and at 24 I felt like I had everything figured out. I had been a coach high.-Level athletes at the Division 1 levels, and I was going to continue to kill them as well.
Not so fast.
I was placed in a position where 90% of my job was with injured people. I treated people with crippling lower back pain.
I witnessed people suffering from the worst knee pain one could imagine.
One lady couldn’t move her shoulder.
And you can imagine that I was freaking!
My most memorable client to date was also one of my most challenging. You may have heard bits of this before. Let me give you a quick recap.
When I first met Mark (no, that’s not his real name) he had been off of work for almost 3 years due to persistent and horrible back pain. His personal life had also been affected by the pain.
He was in the middle of a messy divorce. His ex was-His wife was also playing games with his children.
Can you imagine being in such a situation? It must’ve been horrible.
But the worst part was, this guy couldn’t do Anything. The guy made a good living driving big rigs before sustaining a back injury.
Now, he couldn’t hold down any kind of job because it hurt to do everything. Standing up, sitting down and driving a car. He also played with his kids.
It doesn’t matter what it is, it will hurt.
He was probably one of the most difficult backs I’ve ever seen and it took a ton of work to get him feeling better again.
In the following 6 months, he went from being extremely hurt to almost nothing to where everything hurt.
He was offered a second job and was granted partial custody of his children (whom now he could play with pain).-free!), and even found a new girlfriend that he was madly in love with.
I clearly remember the day he stopped coming in (he was driving 2 hours EACH WAY, 3x per week to work with us), and he said to me with tears in his eyes…
“Thank you for giving me my life back.”
That’s pretty powerful stuff.
And just like you, I’ve spent my time in the trenches. I’ve gotten up at 3:45 in the morning every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to work with a client. On these same days, I often didn’t get home until 7 or 8 in the evening.
Seriously, 3:45 in morning?
I can recall thinking, “What is wrong with me? Do normal people do this?”
It was difficult not only physically, but also mentally. I was exhausted all the time and lived on triple venti non.-Starbucks has fat Mochas! Not only physically, but also emotionally. You don’t have the time or energy to spend time with your loved ones and friends because your entire schedule is focused around serving your clients.
My training was also affected. Training was the only thing that had remained constant over the last five years of my life. This was my release, my time. “me.”
That was also what I was losing.
This sounds like you?
Are you spending too many hours at the gym, taking care clients, or in the kitchen? Not yourself?
Are you working too much to make too little?
Would you like to spend more time with your family and friends
Have you ever felt like you’re turning away clients because you don’t know how to help them?
Would you love to have MORE clients because you’re the go-Refer to a local trainer or coach for help with lower back pain or knee problems?
What would you do if you were in my position? Would you give in and hope for the best? Find a different job that wasn’t as challenging?
I chose to empower my self. I read books and researched articles until the wee hours of the morning. I watched VHS tapes (yes, I’m starting to show my age!) from others in our field.
I attended seminars.
I did everything I could to learn as many things about the human anatomy as possible.
Here’s where I can help you out, because I’m tired of talking about me. This product is all you need. YOU.
Rather than reading all the research, attending all the seminars, purchasing all the DVD’s, manuals and webinars, why not pick up one all-All-encompassing resource that will give me the bulk of my knowledge
You can watch the Bulletproof Knees Back DVD’s and apply the concepts I outline with regards to knee and lower back pain, I can guarantee the following:
- You’ll understand the functional anatomy surrounding the knee and lower back; without this, you’re shooting from the hip and guessing as to what’s going on!
- You’ll be able to put your clients through a thorough and detailed assessment to determine Why? They are in pain. Often, their backs or knees are the source of pain. site The pain is what you should be focusing on, not the solution. Source.
- You’ll be able to write a program that not only addresses their physical limitations over the long haul, but also allows you to make their training sessions pain-You can be productive and free in the meantime.
- You’ll be able to coach your clients more effectively. You can provide quality programming, but your clients must be able to execute your game plan.
I’m not telling you to overstep your bounds, either. We all have clients who go too far-We can help if they are willing to help. Or people who may have unusual or rare conditions, and we need to call the big dogs.
In this series, I talk a lot about growing your network. This includes having a great massage therapist and a great physical therapy. Get on board to ensure that you all work together to achieve a great result for your clients.
All I ask is that you can take a client with mild knee or lower back pain, and get them moving so they can reach their goals and live happier, more fulfilling lives.
That’s it.
You won’t be a physical therapist, chiropractor or athletic trainer when you’re done, but you’ll be a hell of a lot more competent when it comes to training your clients and athletes than ever before.
That confidence is huge.
A large percentage of my readers are very high.-level fitness enthusiasts. They may not be able coach or train people for a living, but their passion is to understand the body.
Let me sum it up in one word: Absolutely.
While this product is geared towards trainers and coaches because they’re use these materials every single day, Anyone Anyone who reads my blog regularly and wants more information about the knees, lower back, and hips will benefit.
You would like to learn more about functional anatomy, program design, as well as how to lift your body with flawless execution.
You might also like to learn how this can prevent injury to your lower back and knees.-free?
This product will definitely help you.
I know that as a coach or trainer talking about knee and lower back pain you might be skeptical. I’m not a physical therapist, athletic trainer, orthopedic surgeon or even a chiropractor.
How could I possibly know what I’m doing?
Since I started, I’ve made a name for myself within the industry. My knowledge in corrective exercise has helped Bill Hartman and I build one of America’s Top 10 Gyms (as ranked by Men’s Health magazine), for two years running.
Clients drive from all over the country to join us, including from Louisville, Lexington and Chicago. We even have distant clients who have traveled from as far as Japan or Bulgaria to receive an assessment and a customized program.
I’m paid pretty darn well to travel around and speak about these very topics. This presentation was given in Vancouver, and I’ve been to Australia two times now as well to help trainers just like yourself get better at improving their clients’ health.
And I’ve written for most of the major training magazines, both printed and on-line: Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, Muscle and Fitness, T-Nation and Elite Fitness
Listen, I’m not here to tell you I’m perfect or that I know everything. That’s not the case. I’m always trying to learn more and improve myself as a trainer and coach.
But I’m pretty darn good at what I do, and I’m confident I can help you get better at what you do.
Mike Robertson’s course was the best training seminar I’ve been to! It was a game changer! As someone who has bought thousands of dollars of training products including Mikes’ I wasn’t sure what to expect when I went to his seminar. All I knew was I was excited but didn’t know if he would honestly live up to the huge reputation he had acquired on the internet. My expectations were exceeded. It was not only a wonderful experience. Mike one of the best presenters I’ve seen but his content and knowledge was phenomenal!
The information about how to coach lifted my attention to posture for exercises. It made a big difference in how I view exercises and movement. I returned to training and found that it was easier for me and my clients. One client I have trained for a long period with right hip pain. We were able to stretch with techniques from Mike’s seminar and her pain has vanished.
This course was invaluable as a trainer and coach. It has completely changed my perception of training. I now understand force coupling in the human body. This was one of my best investments!

I have recently started following Mike’s training system due to a nagging back injury I had sustained 7 months earlier. The injury caused a significant physical and mental toll. I had to stop all biographies.-My training taught me how to do lateral lower body moves. I felt I needed some help so I went to I.-FAST. I was assessed for my joint, muscle, and posture function upon arrival. The results of the assessment clearly demonstrated that there was some work to be done, and less than a week later I began my first month’s worth of programming.
It has been almost 4 months and my body has seen remarkable changes, even though I was only able to make it to the I.-FAST for a couple weekends per month. Mike’s training system has improved my mobility, increased stability throughout my entire body, and has been cleaning up a few asymmetries I have. As a result, my back pain has been decreasing and I have been able slowly to increase my bi.-I am incorporating lateral movements back into the training. This week, I was able front squat 175lbs for 8 reps with zero back irritation. Not an impressive feat of strength by any means, but not bad for someone who didn’t know if he would ever be able to perform squats or deadlifts again.
The methods Mike The scientific and proven methods he uses to implement his programs with his clients are well-researched. He uses the assessment to determine the needs of his clients and then creates the programming to meet those needs. This provides his clients with quantifiable results. After all, we can’t forget that results are what training is all about. I have 100% confidence in Mike’s training methods, and will continue utilizing them throughout the rest of my training career.”

I had the pleasure recently of seeing Mike Robertson I was able to present the Vancouver knee/back seminar, and I was very impressed with the great information and coaching. Learning hands-This is from one of my role models, one of the guys that I look up to.-I was inspired by models in the fitness industry and returned home with some tips that I shared with my clients.
I was able, thanks to the knowledge gained from that seminar to identify and correct the underlying causes for chronic pain in my clients. This was something I had been trying to do for months. You or your clients may be looking for exercise.-Low and knee based solutions-back pain, including how to assess for the possible causes of that pain, I am certain that you’ll find the information in the DVD of great value!

I am a former collegiate basketball star who experienced 4 years of severe knee pain. Multiple doctors and chiropractors helped me reduce the pain and allow my body to perform at its best. I didn’t know what was wrong with me or why I was in so much pain. I tried just plain rest, had multiple MRI’s done, tried acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments and cold laser therapy. It helped a little, but it would bring back the pain a few more weeks later.
I was certain I would have knee pain for the rest of my life. It was then that my doctor recommended I visit. Mike Robertson. Within 15 minutes of my evaluation, he knew exactly the problem with me. I had patella tendinosis, not tendinitis. It had nothing whatsoever to do with my knee. It was my hips. I had poor hip mobility and no left glute strength. He immediately put me on a program to address these issues. Within two weeks, I was back on court playing in a two-player match.-Day basketball tournament.
He has helped me significantly increase my squat, deadlift, and have not given me any knee pain in the past few years. I would recommend him highly. Mike Anyone who has suffered any type of knee injury. My only regret was not going to see him sooner.

This seminar has influenced the way I train people. The various coaching cues proved to be invaluable. I have implemented the single leg, squat and deadlift progressions into all my clients’ programs. I also found the seminar very helpful in my evaluation protocol and execution.
His presentation on anatomy was outstanding. Mike He examines the muscles of the lower body and core and reveals that they play a crucial role in stabilizing the hips and core. The information he shared goes beyond what college anatomy courses teach.
I’ve also changed up a lot of my own training as a result of having Mike Take a look at me. I’ve started implementing box squats and rack deadlifts more into my programming. My ROM wasn’t quite where it needed to be for deadlifts, as a result I had numerous energy leaks. I’ve been working on my form so I can get back to deadlifting.
If you are looking to get better as a coach or make yourself a more efficient and safe weight lifter, then I’d strongly suggest this product.

I was a teenager and young adult all my life. “grind it out” Type of athlete “It hurts? who cares, grind it out. No pain no gain” My inner monologue was my mantra.
Needless to mention, I was rudely awakened when I turned 30. My knee was a total mess. The orthopedic surgeon informed me that my knee was now completely devoid of cartilage and that he would recommend a knee replacement within 5 years. He also advised me to discontinue all sports that I was currently participating in (powerlifting and rugby).
After undergoing arthroscopic surgical surgery to remove some debris, it was clear that I didn’t like surgery and being physically inactive. After a month, they told me that my knee was as good and healthy as it could be. I decided to take matters into my own hands. I had read many books. Mike Robertson’s articles on indestructible knees and decided that I needed some of those!
My first visit was January 2009. The thorough assessment of movement, strength, and flexibility from head-to-toe was amazing. However, the most important aspect was that it gave hope.

For the first time, I didn’t feel like a lost cause. I just needed to do a lot more. Mike I created a training program to address the weaknesses that were causing my pain in my knees. I’m not going to lie; it was hard unglamorous work at first. My knees started to feel stable and pain-free as time passed. My programs gradually incorporated major powerlifting movements as well as accessory work to address my weaknesses.
I recently visited IFAST for a single-Year-long follow up assessment. My strength and quality of movement compared to my first visit was shocking, but it didn’t stop there. He was able to do more. He has provided highly personalized programs to help me achieve my goals. Investing in Mike’s quality programming and knowledge is far and above the best decision I ever made towards my health.
I don’t consider myself a finished product yet, but Mike I can see that he is clearly laying out the path that leads me to my destination.

I’m a fitness professional/strength coach in the Seattle are and a former professional basketball player. I’ve dedicated pretty much my whole life to sports, fitness and performance.
I travel a lot to various seminars, workshops, conferences and other events around the country and world related to fitness, performance, and anything that would make my clients more successful.
When I heard Mike Robertson would be having a seminar a couple of hours from me relating to rehabbing the knee and low back, I didn’t think twice about going as I knew he was an incredibly knowledgeable strength coach who also walks the walk. It also made sense as I was dealing with an adductor and low back issue for the better part of 7 months, something neither physical therapists, doctors, massage therapists and number of other professionals couldn’t figure out.
I was expecting the content to be really good. Mike always delivers. But it wasn’t real good. It was much better than that! It actually changed the way I saw training, programs, rehab, and training others. The seminar fee was worth it because of the combination of theory and real world examples. The best part about the seminar was how we spent hours in a hands-on environment assessing ourselves as well as others. Mike’s guidance.
I thought I was pretty good at what my job entailed. I came away from that seminar feeling much more confident and a lot more humbled. Knowing that I have so much more to offer my clients and help them improve their fitness and performance while making them feel and move better.
If you’re a fitness professional or are anywhere close to the fitness or performance field, you’d be nuts not to attend a Mike Robertson seminar!
To confirm my amazement, I was with Mike, I also hired him to do design my training program for the next 3 months (and I’ve only let a handful of people in the world do that). Six weeks into the program, I have seen a 75% reduction in my adductor pain and low back pain. This is something that doctors, physical therapists, and others can’t do. couldn’t do in 7 months!”

When I started my first job with MikeI was tired from years of overuse and nagging injury. He was able help me correct my imbalances, relieve pain, and eventually train at a higher level. Mike He made me his Frankenstein by continually inventing new protocols and exercises to keep my mind and body challenged, motivated, and improving. He has the knowledge and experience to adapt to anyone’s unique set of circumstances and goals. Mike is someone I will use for the rest of my career and can’t recommend highly enough. In my line of work I can’t afford to settle for second best.

18 months after surgery-Moved-I was suffering from patellar tendonitis and was starting to doubt my ability to play beach volleyball and basketball again. I was especially concerned after consulting with six orthopedic surgeons, all who wanted to perform more surgery. I was able to stumble upon it. Mike’s websight while searching online for an alternative treatment to surgery, and I’m sure glad I did.
Lucky me, I had an Indianapolis business meeting so I scheduled an evaluation. Mike. During the evaluation, it became evident that this man knows a lot about the human body as well as how it should move. Mike didn’t just focus on my knee, he evaluated at my entire body structure and movement.
I was very comfortable with the program right from the beginning. Mike I was impressed with the way it was developed. Maybe it was because he explained what each exercise meant, or because each exercise made perfect sense to me. Instead of just treating the symptoms, his program addressed my body’s weaknesses that were actually causing my problems.
Since the beginning, 3 months ago Mike’s program, the strength in my left leg has improved so much that I know I will be playing at my old level soon. My knee is becoming more stable as my hip, leg, and core become stronger. In fact, my goals have changed. I no longer want to just get back, but to actually be better than I was before surgery.
Many thanks Mike!

I suffered from IT band syndrome while undergoing Special Operations selection in military. It was so severe that my knee would lock up completely during long runs. I had no choice but to swing my leg around instead of bend it.
This horrible compensatory pattern, combined with almost four years of operational deployments as a Special Warfare Combatant Crewman on open ocean jet boats which produce repeated impacts of up to 20 G’s, left me with chronic back pain, a mess of fascial adhesions and a knee that didn’t take kindly to running.
I was in the process to learn more about strength and conditioning. Due to my job, I had always been interested in corrective training. Finally, I decided that I would contact the man I had learned most of this from and see if he was willing to assess and program an extremely difficult client.
Half a decade later, I had added 90 pounds in my deadlift (pulling 505 at 185 pounds), was able run ten miles without feeling any pain, and no longer felt any back discomfort.
I’ve since left the military and started my own fitness business and have been quite fortunate to call Mike A mentor in the industry. His materials are required reading for every trainer at my facilities and I’ve learned more from him than anyone else in the strength training world.
