Jeffrey Yuen – Navigating The “Art” Of Chinese Medical Pulse Diagnosis
Mai Zhen (Pulse Diagnosis) is perhaps the most elusive of all of Chinese medical diagnosis and has warranted many commentaries throughout Chinese medical history, ranging from Wang Shu-He seminal text Mai Jing to its standardization by Li Shi-Zhen’s Mai Jing.
This seminar/workshop explores the cultivation involved in pulse-taking and the central role it can play in the patient/practitioner relationship. Emphasis is placed on developing the skills necessary to use the pulse as a vehicle for communication and connection with patients, as well as for traditional diagnosis.
You are introduced to techniques to develop your sensitivity and the subtle aspects involved in navigating the pulses. Additionally, specific pulse patterns associated with the channel systems are discussed.
Being in silence, in stillness, is the essence of healing.
