Erickson encountered a client who had severe cases of premature ejaculation years ago. Because of his condition, he was unable live a normal life.

Erickson discussed the case in an article “A Study of Experimental Neuroissis Hypnotically Induced in a Case of Ejaculato Praecox” which was published in the British Journal of Medical Psychology in 1935. Erickson was telling Erickson a story using fancy words.

Erickson’s paper stunned the research community. Gregory Bateson, Margaret Mead, and Gregory Bateson were both enthralled by Erickson’s paper. Erickson devoted an entire article in 1944 revealing his process and yet…
