FRED GRINSTEIN
Fred Grinstein is a media executive and producer based in Playa Vista, CA. With a seasoned background in premium film/TV and new ventures in emergent technologies like AI, XR, and Web3, he aims to build bridges between traditional content and the modern creator economy.
Previously Fred served as Head of Non-Fiction Programming at Steve Golin’s Anonymous Content where projects include Undercurrent: The Disappearance of Kim Wall, At the Ready, and Murders Before the Marathon.
As an independent, he recently served as Consulting Producer on How I Faked My Life with AI, Oscar-Short Listed Hidden Letters, and Executive Producer on Lowndes County and the Road to Black Power.
Grinstein was VP of Development during the launch of Viceland, collaborating with the youth-skewing digital publishing team and Creative Director Spike Jonze; projects include Weediquette, Hamilton’s Pharmacopeia, Twiz and Tuck, and Ondi Timoner’s Jungletown.
He was also Senior Director of Programming at A&E for 5 years where he was responsible for multiple hit series such as Storage Wars, Dogs of War, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Crazy Hearts: Nashville, and Psychic Kids.
Before network life, his early producing credits include Discovery’s Cash Cab, PBS’s History Detectives, and Bravo’s Make Me a Supermodel.

Shelby Ward is the co-founder and COO of Curious Refuge. Shelby has spent her career cultivating artist education communities ranging from motion design and VFX to AI and tech-driven storytelling. Shelby has lived at the intersection of technology and creativity, collaborating on viral experiments ranging from VR to AI. She has worked on some of the most iconic AI projects in the world including the world’s first AI documentary.

Her work has been written about in academic journals including ‘American Art’ by the Smithsonian American Art Museum and she regularly lectures at educational institutions.
