Long ago, the great spiritual master, Bodhidharma (who first introduced Zen Buddhism in China), taught the 4 Cycles to the Shaolin monks who’d fallen ill and become physically weak from their sedentary lifestyles full of study and meditation.
After practicing the 4 Cycles regularly, the monks’ bodies became stronger and their minds grew brighter and sharper — as a result, their meditation became richer and more joyful. 4 Cycles Qigong has been passed down through the generations and inspires people around the world with its rich history, philosophy, and tradition.
