A Note from Your Speaker
I can recall working as a psychotherapist in non-profit settings.-profit HMO, seeing client after client. They were anxious, panicked-Stress-related disorders can make you more susceptible to stress or make it worse. They had tried to see doctors with limited success. I was no help. I was stuck in a rut of treating symptoms and focusing only on the negative rather than treating them as individuals and strengthening what was right.
In desperate search of better for my clients and myself, I entered a meditation class with an amazing, energetic, and confident teacher. After just one session, my energy was higher, I was able to cope better, and I found myself more attentive to my clients.
Jon Kabat, a kind and caring instructor, was the inspiration.-Zinn, founder of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
It was 30 years ago. Jon Kabat has been helping us every step of the way.-Zinn, these are the principles that I learned in that yoga class back home in Worcester, Massachusetts. They have helped me transform my life, and my practice. Jon became my instructor, and I began my own practice. I was already seeing incredible results for my clients. I was confident in my clinical work and felt energetic.
I was then diagnosed with cancer in 1995. I put. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Test it and get firsthand experience-Hand how to deal with the stress and pain of chemotherapy and all that comes with a stem cell donation.
This evidence has been my personal and professional experience.-Mindfulness was developed through a mindfulness-based approach.-Emory University, University of Massachusetts Medical Center, and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute offer bone-marrow transplants through based interventions.
